ACECR I.U.T was established in 1980. It is an internationally renowned institution comprising research, educational issues, cultural affairs, and job creation departments. 

A) RESEARCH DEPARTMENT

 It covers research groups and professional service centers.

1- CONTROL AND AUTOMATION RESEARCH GROUP

 

This group deals with four areas: research, consultation, education, and Professinal service centers on controlling and information monitoring systems, and planning, manufacturing, programming and operating PLC systems. This center is now equipped with sysmolotornize and complete Zimence PLC systems (S7 200, 300, 400 models) including PID, WINCC, STEP7 and nervous systems.

 

2- GEOCHEMISTRY RESEARCH GROUP

 

This group was established in 2000 to offer Geological Studies and Geochemical Studies (Lithogeochemistry, Hidrogeochemistry, Atmogeochemistry and Biogeochemistry) ,to recognize different kinds of pollution, to study the pollution from mines, industries and cities and to determine its amount and effects on the earth and living things.

 

 

3- WATER, SOIL AND MINE PROFESSIONAL CENTER

 

To utilize manpower and the equipment, and to offer professional services, this center was started out in 1987. It focuses on Geophysical Studies (mineral sources, water supplies and soil dams, surveying and offering) and offers professional services and consultation. This center is equipped with geophysical and geological equipment, different kinds of surveying cameras and related soft wares and tools.

 

 

 

4- DESIGNING AND MANUFACTURING CENTER

 

This center designs, produces and assembles different industrial spare parts.

 

  

 

 

5- AGRICULTURAL CENTER

 

The aims of this center are studying, designing and operating different irrigational systems, developing green areas and studying agricultural machinery ,water supplies and geology.

 

 

 

6- METALLURGY ENGINEERING CENTER

 

This center deals with corrosion and corrosion inhibition and offers professional and consultative services on metalorgy.

 

  

 

7- CHEMISTRY AND CHEMICAL ENGINEERING. CENTER

 

This center mostly focuses on studying and designing food, mineral and chemical industries and offering professional services and consultation.

This center is equipped with high-tech laboratories and instruments such as atomic absorption instrument and spectrophotometer. It can also do wet and instrumental analysis.

 

 

 

8- JOB CREATION DEPARTMENT

 

 This department was established in 1999 to promote the culture of creating jobs and employment opportunities for graduated students. It is active in the areas of : 1) Education (offering general and professional training courses, holding seminars and training workshops),

2) Research (running research projects and defining new jobs)

3) Communication

 4) Publishing related books

 5- Designing and supporting some websites such as Jobiran (www.jobiran.com) and publishing Bazar Kar (www.bazarekar.ir) weekly newspaper.

 

   

B)CULTURAL AFFAIRS DEPARTMENT

 The goals of this department are: to promote the culture of the society by cooperation with universities, theological schools and other cultural organizations, to publicize the Islamic culture and art , to plan cultural and training activities, and to promote the spirituality of the young people, especially university students.

This department comprises:

 

1- THE OFFICE OF RELIGION, ART AND LITERATURE

This office includes some centers like Holly Quran center, Nah-Jol-Balagheh center, theological school center and art and poetry center.

 

2- EXTRACURRICULAR OFFICE

 

This office consists of some centers such as tour operating and sports centers, theaters and consultative center.

 

 

3- PUBLISHING CENTER

 

This center publishes textbooks, supplementary books and other related books for teachers, students and research centers and has published books on about 120 different topics. (www. jdiut.ac.ir) 

 

 

 

4- IRANIAN STUDENTS NEWS AGENCY (ISNA)

 This agency is aimed at involving university students in communication and news cast activities in order to broadcast the news transparently and impartially in political, cultural, economic and scientific news agencies. (www.jdiut.ac.ir) 

 

 

5- IRANIAN STUDENTS OPINION POLLING AGENCY (ISPA)

 

Considering the political and cultural conditions of the country and the necessity of an independent opinion polling center; this agency has employed university teachers and students to poll people's opinions on political, cultural and social issues and to give the results to the planners and administrative agencies. C) EDUCATIONAL ISSUES DEPARTMENT

 This department was established in 1988 and provides students with short term courses and other activities to enable them to use their free time more efficiently.

It has also been experienced, equipped and knowledgeable enough to be given the authority by the Ministry of Science, Technology and Research to accept students through Iranian Universities Enterance Examination in different fields and levels. It covers the following higher education centers:

 

 

 

1- ACECR INSTITUTE OF HIGHER EDUCATION (IUT BRANCH)

 

It was set up in 1993. This institution accepts its students through the Entrance Examination of Iranian universities and has been successful and famous nationwide.

 

 

 

 

2- UNIVERSITY OF APPLIED SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY (ACECR,  IUT BRANCH) 

ACECR received the authority from the central office of the university of applied science and technology to open up a branch in Isfahan in 1998 and accepted two-year students on system software, civil engineering and electronics that year. In 2000 and 2001, it also accepted two-year students on computer soft ware and hard ware and city planning. This center has now several hundred students on different fields.

3- ENGLISH AND COMPUTER INSTITUTE

 

This institute has offered general and professional short and long-term courses on English and Computer Sciences since 1988. At present, it has four active branches ; branch number 1 located in ACECR building in Isfahan University of Technology , branches number 2 and 3 on Panj-e- Ramazan street in Isfahan and branch number 4 in Najafabad . Branch number 2 is devoted to English courses and branch number 3  to computer and IT courses and is now ready to hold professional courses for the employers of different organizations .(www. jdiut.ac.ir)

Recently it is endowed with international certification in International Computer Driving License (ICDL) .
